Adding value to any home

Back by popular demand, celebrity contractor and TV host Bryan Baeumler, star of HGTV Canada’s Island of Bryan will headline the Show.

Baeumler will share how to save money when renovating as well as provide advice for increasing the value of a home. “Your home is arguably the largest investment most people ever make,” Baeumler explains.

Whether attendees have a renovation project in mind, the Show is an excellent place for any homeowner or soon-to-be homeowner to talk to experts. There will also be plenty of excellent Baeumler Approved contractors who Winnipeggers can connect with on-site at the Show.

Hear more from Bryan on, Friday, January 13 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, January 14 at 1 p.m. on The Lifestyle Stage presented by Vesta Custom Design, the Winnipeg Free Press, and HGTV Canada with flooring provided by Image Flooring.

Modernize a vacation on wheels

Making their Winnipeg Renovation Show debut, Stu Pynoo and Maegan Clerihew of ReVolution Trailers are helping transform Winnipeggers’ travel trailer experience, from start to finish. Between Stu’s big ideas and Maegan’s eye for design, they’ve prevented nearly 200,000 pounds of trailers from being dumped into the landfill.

“We like to tell people it’s like renovating your house, but also nothing like renovating your house,” shares Clerihew. “We recycle, reuse or rehome as many components as possible from each renovation project during our demo and rebuild phases to bring new life back into older and well-used travel trailers,” explains Clerihew.

Learn more from Stu and Maegan on Saturday, January 14 at 11 a.m. and Sunday, January 15 at 11 a.m. on The Lifestyle Stage presented by Vesta Custom Design, the Winnipeg Free Press, and HGTV Canada with flooring provided by Image Flooring. Showgoers can also check out ReVolution Trailers in person at a new Show feature, RV’s Reimagined. Attendees will be able to explore unique trailers in the midst of renovation and in their post-renovation glory.

Bringing natural elements into any home

As we step into the new year, homeowners and renters are eager to know what the design trends of 2023 will be. Rena Walters from RW & Staging & Design and Kelly Belanger from Blue Rose Interiors will hit the stage to share one of the top design trends of 2023 – incorporating natural elements into any space, helping Showgoers bring these trends into their homes.

“Many trends are unreachable without a major home overhaul, and not everyone can get behind glam or boho or hygge style,” explains Belanger. “But no matter your current personal home style, it is easy and possible to apply natural trends in your home.”

Adding natural elements like wood, stone, and even plants can help homeowners feel grounded, positive and warm. While modern and clean designs still reign supreme, the movement towards warmer woods, softer palettes, and gold finishes will start to be the focus for 2023, according to the Belanger.

Learn more from Rena and Kelly, Friday, January 13 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, January 14 at 2:30 p.m. on The Lifestyle Stage presented by Vesta Custom Design, the Winnipeg Free Press, and HGTV Canada with flooring provided by Image Flooring. Don’t miss a chance to check out the duo’s work firsthand at The Lounge presented by RW & Staging & Design and Blue Rose Interiors where style meets comfort. Attendees can enjoy a cocktail while taking in the sights and sounds of this year’s Show.

Research before renovation

Returning to the Show this season is All Canadian Renovations’ Curtis Breslaw. Breslaw will share top tips to consider when hiring a contractor highlighting how to choose the right contractor for a project, including things to avoid.

“Do your research and don’t hire the cheapest contractor. The best deal is not always the best deal and make sure you get everything in writing,” Breslaw shares.

All Canadian Renovations works with many of Manitoba’s top architects, designers, developers and engineers and specializes in making dream homes a reality. The renovation company employs their own designers, carpenters, plumbers, and electricians so clients can easily navigate the renovation process, which can often be stressful.

Winnipeggers can catch Curtis on The Lifestyle Stage presented by Vesta Custom Design, the Winnipeg Free Press, and HGTV Canada with flooring provided by Image Flooring on Friday, January 13 at 5 p.m.; Saturday, January 14 at 4:30 p.m.; and Sunday, January 15 at 1 p.m.

The Winnipeg Renovation Show runs from Friday, January 13 at noon to Sunday, January 15 at 6 p.m. at the RBC Convention Centre. Find the full schedule of speakers here. For more information, or to buy tickets early and save $2, visit winnipegrenovationshow.com.
