April 21 — The aftermath of a traffic collision Saturday evening resulting in three people (two police officers and the driver of the other car) taken to hospital and police cruiser crashing into a local convenience store, Bargains Galore, on the intersection of Polson Avenue and Main Street.

April 12 — Steinbach Pistons and the Virden Oil Capitals wear "Broncos" as a tribute to the Humbolt Broncos at the Virden Tundra Oil Gas Place Thursday evening.

Steven Moon, president of King's Services, bought the existing port-a-potty business some 15 years ago, and grew it from a one-truck operation into a business with over 1,000 portable toilets and a staff of close to forty. The Elite V, a deluxe unit that comes with a granite counter, air-conditioning and individual, wooden stalls for both men and women.

Ron "Shep" Shepertycki, the general manager in the old ink storage room at Western Paper Box located at 579 McDermot Avenue. Western Box Company has been around almost 100 years and make boxes for everything from paint swatches to dental supplies to board games.

June 5 — A two year old bear lies in a cage for transportation by conservation officers. It was tranquillized after it was chased up a tree in the yard of a house in the 700 block of Kildare Avenue West in Transcona Tuesday.

June 6 — Kyle Unger outside the old grocery store in Roseisle, MB. Unger, one of former prosecutor George Dangerfield's wrongly convicted 'killers,' spent 14 years behind bars for a grisly 1990 slaying. He's fighting for compensation the province says it doesn't owe him.

June 17 — Nicholas Pasieczka, 17, pumps his hands in the air during 40th Manitoba Marathon. The marathon marked a major milestone in his life. He went on to finish first place in the youth male category in the full marathon.
