Hamilton will join the other five lead reporters whose work has been nominated for the prestigious journalism award, named after former governor general Roland Michener. The panel, moderated by Radio-Canada’s Madeleine Blais-Morin, will discuss how compelling investigative stories are told.

The Free Press Michener nomination came from Hamilton’s special investigative project into the destructive legacy of junior hockey coach and sex predator Graham James.

The panel discussion starts at 7 p.m. CDT and can be viewed here:

The other Michener finalists on the panel include APTN’s Kenneth Jackson, La Presse‘s Gabrielle Duchaine, the Montreal Gazette’s Aaron Derfel, CBC’s Ashley Burke, and Grant Robertson from The Globe and Mail.
