Cups (Jerry’s Gone)
With apologies to Anna Kendrick and coffee drinkers everywhere
He filled the ticket for the Tories, then
He went and pissed his chance away
He got caught on tape by the CBC
Kicked off that ticket in a day
Jerry’s gone, Jerry’s gone
He urinated, now he’s gone
He could have asked to use the can
I guess he had another plan
Now they dismissed him, and he’s gone
Jerry’s gone, Jerry’s gone
We hardly knew him, and he’s gone
You’ll never use another mug
Without inspecting it for bugs
At least he didn’t soil the rug
Another candidate, another freak
Made some prank calls and caused dismay
Faked a climax and pretended
Mental problems, can’t defend it
They had to send this jerk away
Timmy’s gone, Timmy’s gone
Fake masturbation, now he’s gone
He could have just put down the phone
He could have left YouTube alone
Now they dismissed him, and he’s gone
Timmy’s gone, Timmy’s gone
We hardly knew him, and he’s gone
You better screen before they run
Or they’ll put you under the gun
When clowns sign up, they get withdrawn
Adapated from When I’m Gone, written in 1931 by the Carter Family, adapted by Lulu & the Lampshades in 2009 and popularized by Anna Kendrick in Pitch Perfect in 2012.
