The Bombers, who finished 15-3 in 2022 but came up short in their bid for a third consecutive league crown, don’t face the Grey Cup-champion Toronto Argonauts until Friday, Sept. 29 out east, their lone meeting of the season.

Winnipeg and Saskatchewan collide in the annual Labour Day Classic on Sunday, Sept. 3, and the teams meet again six days later (Saturday, Sept. 9) in the Banjo Bowl at IG Field.

There is a bit of a twist to the CFL schedule in ‘23.

For the first time since 2008, divisional playoff games are set to be played on Saturdays, with the semifinals taking place on Nov. 4 before the divisional finals go Nov. 11.

In addition, the league has reduced the number of times teams host games in consecutive weeks and halved the instances of teams playing back-to-backs against the same opponent.

The regular-season slate will begin June 8 with the B.C. Lions taking on the Stampeders in Calgary in a Thursday night matchup.

The Grey Cup champion Toronto Argonauts will raise their banner in their season opener against rival Hamilton Tiger-Cats on June 18.
