Demolition crews started the process of knocking down cottages and homes in Breezy Point near the Red River North of Selkirk. A large ice jam caused by flooding last spring caused heavy damage in the area. The Province of Manitoba bought out many home and cottage owners last year. Most cottages and homes in the area will be destroyed and a few are planned to be moved.
