Tokyo 2020 is officially over, but our memories of the past 16 days will never fade away — thanks in large part to the many iconic, hilarious and strange moments that were given the meme treatment and shared around the world via social media.

From Canadian swimmer Maggie Mac Neil squinting without her glasses to find out she won gold and British diver Tom Daley’s knitting hobby, these are some of the best memes, tweets, TikToks and photos from Tokyo 2020.
