The Kings are in the midst of a five-game road trip that began Tuesday with a 7-0 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs before they fell 4-1 to the Montreal Canadiens Thursday. L.A. lost 2-1 in Ottawa Friday night.

Veteran centre Jeff Carter has been the offensive leader for the club, scoring five goals and chipping in six assists in 15 games. L.A. captain Anze Kopitar is off to a slow start, supplying just a pair of goals and six helpers.

All-Star goaltender Jonathan Quick remains on the injured reserve list with a groin injury and isn’t expected back until January. The two-time Vezina Trophy finalist was hurt in the Kings’ season-opener on Oct. 12. Back-up goalie Peter Budaj, once property of the Jets during the 2014-15 AHL season, has played in a dozen games for L.A., including all seven of the club’s victories.

Former Jets winger Devin Setoguchi has two goals and two assists in 14 games with the Kings, after winning a job in training camp. He’s trying to resurrect a career sidetracked by off-ice issues, including a stint in a rehabilitation clinic in California.
