FAQ

Can I pause the movie?

Yes! You are able to pause the film for bathroom or snack breaks, but we don’t advise leaving it paused for multiple hours and returning to it later, as the film may no longer be available to watch.

What do I do if I don’t receive the password email?

Contact digitalfeedback@winnipegfreepress.com and our customer service folks will help you out.

Can I watch the movie on my TV?

Maybe! It depends on what technology you have at home. We screen the film right on our website, so if you’re able to access our site on your TV, either by using a smart TV or a casting device such as a Chromecast or Apple TV, you might be able to get the film on your TV.

We cannot provide specific tech support for each household, but here are some links that may answer the most common questions about each device:

I’m busy on event day, can I watch the film at a later day or time?

No, you will not be able to access it at a later date or time. We have agreements with each film’s distributor that only allow us to make the film available during our specified event times.

How do I register for tickets? Isn’t the event free?

Yes, it is free! But we require you to register for tickets so that we can email you the password you need to access the film on event day. You can register for tickets on the Winnipeg Free Press’s Eventbrite page.
