JUST two candidates will be on the ballot when Thompson residents head to the polls June 7.

Elections Manitoba said Progressive Conservative candidate Charlotte Larocque and New Democratic Party candidate Eric Redhead had filed their papers before nominations closed Tuesday.

The Liberals decided not to field a candidate.

Advance voting begins May 28. Eligible voters can vote in advance at any polling location. On election day, voters must cast their ballot at the poll assigned on their voter information card.

Information about advance voting locations and hours is available on the Elections Manitoba website.

The provincial seat became vacant when NDP MLA Danielle Adams died in a highway crash last December.
