A Wolseley woman accused of killing her neighbour is still trying to retain a lawyer.

Brenda Lee Schuff, 44, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 54-year-old Judy Kenny. The case was briefly in provincial court this week as a judge heard Schuff is seeking Legal Aid representation. The case was adjourned for two weeks.

Kenny was found dead just after 3 a.m. April 10 in her home in the 400 block of Camden Place. At the time, Winnipeg Police Service spokesman Const. Robert Carver said an “edged weapon” had been used in the homicide but investigators hadn’t established a motive for the crime.
