IGM Financial Inc. generated strong second-quarter results with net earnings of $216.2 million, up 56.4 per cent compared to the same period last year.

The Winnipeg-based financial services company generated $0.91 in earnings per share, up 57 per cent from last year, it said Thursday.

Assets under management and advisement of $252.4 billion was up 7.6 per cent from the second quarter of 2023. That includes operations from IG Wealth Management (previously Investors Group) and Mackenzie Investments.

Assets under management and advisement including strategic investments were $431.7 billion, compared with $376.1 billion at June 30, 2023. That includes IGM’s investments in Rockefeller Capital Management and Wealthsimple Financial Corp., China Asset Management Co., Ltd. and Northleaf Capital Group Ltd.
