Hey there, time traveller!

The Goldeyes opened their final homestand of the regular season with a rude 12-5 thumping, courtesy of the visiting Kansas City Monarchs on Monday at Shaw Park.
The loss drops the Winnipeg club to 50-44 on the dwindling season and extends their losing streak to three games. The Monarchs (60-34), meanwhile, continue to surge toward a West Division crown and now rest 2.5 games behind the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks.
It was the first of a three-game series against a team the Fish have become all too familiar with over the past couple of weeks (the clubs have played seven games over two series) and have struggled against (2-5 in that time).
Goldeyes ace Luis Ramirez toed the rubber in the series opener, but struggled mightily across 5.1 innings, allowing nine hits and seven earned runs.
The Monarchs seemingly got lumber on everything the Fish threw at them, recording 15 hits in the game. Just one Kansas City player didn’t reach base.
The Fish returned from their last road trip of the season in high spirits. Despite finishing an uninspiring 4-6 on the trip, the club clinched a playoff berth for the first time since 2017.
With seven games remaining in their schedule, the Goldeyes hold a 3.5-game advantage over the Sioux City Explorers for the third seed in the West Division playoffs and will look to build momentum heading into the fall dance.
They will try to bounce back tonight against the Monarchs at Shaw Park.
