Four teens arrested following the Winnipeg police chase that ended in the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Eishia Hudson have been released on bail.

Details of the bail hearings and the reasons given for release cannot be disclosed under terms of a publication ban.

The teens are accused of robbing the Sage Creek Liquor Mart on April 8, and then fleeing in a stolen car. During a resulting chase, the suspect vehicle allegedly rammed a police cruiser and hit several other vehicles before police shot at the stolen car, hitting Hudson, the alleged driver.

A 15-year-old girl was released on bail Thursday, and a 15-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy were released Monday. A 16-year-old girl was released Tuesday afternoon.

All four suspects had been held in quarantine at the Winnipeg Remand Centre since their arrest.

Earlier this month, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the province began funnelling all new adult and youth jail admissions through the Remand Centre, where accused offenders are to be isolated for up to 14 days before being formally admitted or transferred to another facility.
