Hey there, time traveller!

Former 92 CITI FM radio show host Dave Wheeler, fired Wednesday after on-air comments he made earlier last week about transgender people, will launch a podcast with his wife as co-host on Monday at 7 a.m. with actor Scarlett Johansson said to be making a guest appearance.
A post Friday on the Instagram of Wheeler’s wife Candace announced the new podcast, called Wheeler in the Morning with Dave and Candace Rae, which will be operated by her company, SafetyNet Studio.

The company’s Twitter account announced Saturday that “@Avengers star #ScarlettJohansen (sic) will be on with @Wheelerj28 on Mondays #WheelerInTheMorning #Podcast!” accompanied by a photo of Johansson.
The tweet had the hashtag #FreedomIsABloodyBusiness.
Wheeler’s conversations on air and on social media about the backlash Johansson faced before her decision to withdrawn from the film Rub & Tug, in which she was cast as a transgender man, was part of the landscape that led to Wheeler’s firing.
While neither one of the couple responded to requests from the Winnipeg Free Press for comment, Wheeler’s wife’s Instagram post stated the couple will host their podcast from a studio they had built in their home’s basement some time ago. The post stated she had registered it as business two months ago, calling it SafetyNet Studio “so we always had a safety net.”
“For all those asking how you can support Dave and want to hear him again, now you can! But this time…I own the company. So unless he doesn’t put away the laundry, you’ll always get to hear his voice through this medium,” the post stated.
Wheeler has not commented on his firing and has maintained social-media silence, aside from retweeting the SafetyNet Studios posts about the new podcast.
A post Thursday on his wife’s Instagram gave followers some insight into the effect her husband’s firing had on their family which includes two young sons.
The post stated Wheeler was “the sole provider” and that his wife “dropped to the floor and cried” when she heard he had been fired and is “really scared” because she doesn’t know what the future holds for their family.
“Please remember a man lost his job and that man was MY husband and THEIR father. When you cheers (sic) your victory, please remember we are loosing (sic) everything and show us some kindness.”
