Two injured in separate Winnipeg house fires

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service personnel took two people to hospital after separate house fires Tuesday evening and early Wednesday morning.
The first fire broke out in a bungalow on the 500 block of Larsen Avenue at about 8:40 p.m. on Tuesday. Firefighters found heavy flames and smoke coming from the house when they arrived, but managed to get the blaze under control just after 9 p.m. Paramedics took one resident to hospital in unstable condition.
Firefighters were then called to a house fire on Avalon Road just after 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. It took just under an hour for crews to get the fire under control. One resident was taken to hospital in stable condition.
