The Winnipeg Goldeyes picked up their second victory in less than 16 hours over the Chicago Dogs, earning a 6-1 triumph Wednesday afternoon at Shaw Park.
Winnipeg (10-13) had lost six consecutive games, all on the road, but has won back-to-back contests with the visiting Dogs.
Morning showers ended about two hours before the first pitch at 11:05 a.m., and a large crowd of 6,253 watched as the Fish banged out 11 hits and took advantage of four errors by the Dogs.

Hidekel Gonzalez rounds third base and heads for home Wednesday during the Winnipeg Goldeyes victory over the Chicago Dogs.
Chicago scored its only run in the first inning but Winnipeg struck for a pair in the bottom of the inning and never looked back. Dayson Croes extended his hitting streak to 20 games with a single in the second innning and chipped in a pair of RBI for the Fish.
Croes is batting .389 this season and trails only Chicago’s Josh Altmann (.393) in the early chase for the American Association batting crown. Altmann was held at bay by the Goldeyes pitching staff Wednesday, going hitless in three plate appearances.
Tommy McCarthy, Hidekel Gonzales, Keith Torres and Tra Holmes supplied a pair of hits apiece for the winning side.
Every Goldeye in the lineup either reached base safely or contributed with a run-producing plate appearance.
Winnipeg product Marc-Andre Habeck got the start for the Goldeyes and was assigned to pitch two innings, surrendering a run on four hits.
Travis Seabrooke came on in relief and worked five shutout innings to register the win.
The clubs meet again Thursday at Shaw Park.
