Winnipeggers celebrated Pride once again on Sunday as crowds cheered while participants passed by in the first parade for the festival since 2019.

Pride events kicked off on May 27 and concluded on Sunday.

The organization said it expected as many as 90,000 attendees throughout the course of the festival, more than double its usual showing. This year, Winnipeg was the host city for the second ever Fierté Canada Pride, a collective of Canadian Pride associations which awarded the first national title to Montreal in 2017.
