A break from the rain is on the way as Manitoba joins the country in celebrating Victoria Day Monday.
Many businesses and government services change their hours on Victoria Day.
Here’s a selection:
COVID-19 TEST SITES
Only those who are eligible for PCR testing can access it at the Dakota Medical Centre, the Minor Illness and Injury Clinic (both appointment only) and Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre. Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre takes walk-ins and is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.
SHOPPING
CF Polo Park, St. Vital Shopping Centre, Kildonan Place and the Outlet Collection mall will be open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Grant Park Shopping Centre will be open 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Forks Market is open regular hours.
Most grocery stores, including Safeway, Sobeys, Superstore and Walmart, are open.
Manitoba Liquor Mart stores in Winnipeg operate 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, except for the True North location which will be closed. For details on exceptions and rural Liquor Mart hours, visit LiquorMarts.ca.
Beer vendors and private wine stores set their own hours for the holiday, so Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries suggests the best way to find out if the one near you will be open is to call.
ENTERTAINMENT
Assiniboine Park Zoo is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Manitoba Museum is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Children’s Museum is open 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Winnipeg Art Gallery is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Canadian Museum for Human Rights is closed.
Movie theatres are open.
RECYCLING AND TRASH
Recycling and garbage will be collected as normal for those with Monday as their collection day.
The Brady Road landfill is open 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
LEISURE ACTIVITIES
All leisure centres are closed except for Pan Am Pool, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex, which will be open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Crescent Drive, Harbour View, John Blumberg, Kildonan Park and Windsor Park golf courses are open for the season.
Pan Am Pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Margaret Grant Pool will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.; and Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex will be open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. All other pools are closed.

WINNIPEG TRANSIT
On Monday, buses will operate on a Sunday schedule.

All Winnipeg Public Library branches are closed.

CEMETERIES
Brookside, St. Vital and Transcona cemetery grounds are open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Cemetery offices will be closed on the holiday.

GOVERNMENT SERVICES
Civic, provincial and federal offices are closed.
The Winnipeg Parking Authority is closed.
The Winnipeg Animal Services Agency is closed.
There is no mail delivery on Monday. Canada Post offices are closed, but post offices operated by the private sector will be open according to the hours of service of the host business.
