The hearing date for Shelly Glover’s court challenge over the results of the recent Progressive Conservative leadership race has been moved up to Dec. 10.
Affidavits expected to be filed in the case will be subject to cross examination on Nov. 29-30, a court spokesperson said in an email.
The Dec. 10 hearing date, originally set for Dec. 23, was moved up at the suggestion of Manitoba Court of Queen’s Bench Justice James Edmond, Glover’s lawyer Dave Hill said Tuesday.
Glover is asking the court to declare the Oct. 30 PC leadership election that declared Heather Stefanson the winner — and hence the premier — invalid, claiming there were irregularities with the voting process.
