A man rushed to hospital after being struck by a vehicle at Balmoral Street and Cumberland Avenue was also suffering from a gunshot wound, police said Wednesday.
Police responded to calls about an injured man lying in the street around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. A 44-year-old man was sent to hospital in critical condition.
It was later determined that the man had been shot in the upper body prior to being hit by the vehicle, police said. Officers spoke with the driver and no charges are being laid at this time.
