The Winnipeg Goldeyes will open the 2020 regular season on the road in Cleburne, Texas, on May 19, kicking off a six-game South Division road trip as part of their 100-game schedule, the American Association club announced Thursday.
The Goldeyes, who open training camp on May 7, will be joined by the Chicago Dogs, Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, Gary SouthShore RailCats, Milwaukee Milkmen and St. Paul Saints in the North Division.
The South Division will include the Cleburne Railroaders, Kansas City T-Bones, Lincoln Saltdogs, Sioux City Explorers, Sioux Falls Canaries and Texas AirHogs.
The top two teams by winning percentage from each division qualify for the post-season.
The Goldeyes’ home opener is May 26 against the defending-champion St. Paul Saints.
Winnipeg’s home schedule features eight Fridays, eight Saturdays and eight Sundays. Shaw Park also hosts three weekday matinee starts (11:05 a.m.) on May 27, June 10 and July 9.
