The Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum announced its Class of 2020 on Monday morning.

The induction class features seven individuals, three minor club teams, one special team, and an honorary life member.

The individuals are Ron Arnst, Les Charles, Blaine Fortin, Andrew Halpenny, John Koeker, Morris Mott and Kalam Paull.

The minor club teams honoured are the Carman Goldeyes Midgets 1994-95/Juniors 1997-2000, Elmwood Giants Juniors 2002-2007 and the Cardale Cougars Bantams/Midgets/Bisons 1971-75. The Carman Midget team was the Winnipeg Minor and Manitoba champion, while the Carman Juniors were the first team in league history to win four straight Manitoba junior league titles. Elmwood represented Manitoba all six years in either Western Canada or national championships. The teams from Cardale reached several provincial finals.

The 1991 Portage Athletics Midgets are the special team as they were the first Manitoba midget team to win nationals.

Rounding out the class is honorary life member Jack Callum. Callum was the chairman of the Hall of Fame from 2003-2011.

The induction banquet will take place June 6, 2020 at the Morden Event Access Centre, where the Hall of Fame is located.
