New York Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman won the 2019 Reliever of the Year Award, it was announced Saturday. It’s the Cuban fireballer’s first time winning the award.

Chapman, 31, pitched to a 2.21 ERA over 57 innings, striking out 85. He saved 37 games and made his second straight all-star team and sixth overall.

Liam Hendriks of the Athletics and Roberto Osuna of the Astros finished second and third in the AL, respectively.

Milwaukee Brewers relief ace Josh Hader won the NL’s corresponding Trevor Hoffman Award.
