REC’s Kallon commits to Wesmen

River East Collegiate varsity girls basketball player Jennifer Kallon committed recently to play for the University of Winnipeg Wesmen.

On Dec. 14, Wesmen women’s coach Alyssa Cox stopped by River East as Kallon, a 5-foot-10 guard in Grade 12, officially signed her commitment papers.

At press time, the River East Kodiaks girls basketball team had finished two tournaments, placing ninth in both the Sisler Spartans Varsity Kickoff tournament on Dec. 10, and the Pembina Trails Bison Classic on Dec. 17.
