SUMMARY:Language of Dalnavert: Victorians and the Calls of Nature
DESCRIPTION:A bathroom with running water and a working toilet is a necessity – not a luxury – for much of us in the modern world. However\, this was not the case for many households in the 19th century. The Dalnavert historic house is well-known for being an early Winnipeg adopter of indoor plumbing\, but Victorians responded to the “calls of nature” in all sorts of ways. Join Inés Bonacossa\, for this instalment of the Language of Dalnavert lecture series!
