SUMMARY:Now Is The Time...For Love
DESCRIPTION:The Mennonite Community Orchestra\, in collaboration with the CMU Festival Chorus\, will present “Now Is The Time…For Love”\, a concert that will explore the importance of love\, especially in our modern era. The concert will feature “Romeo and Juliet\, Suite No. 2” by Sergei Prokofiev\, derived from his ballet adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Our second piece is Srul Irving Glick’s “The Hour Has Come”. An orchestral setting of a poem by Carole Leckner\, this piece is a collaboration between the orchestra and the CMU Festival Chorus\, led by Janet Brenneman. \nThe Mennonite Community Orchestra’s “Now Is The Time… For Love” concert will be held March 15th at 3 PM at 181 Riverton Avenue.
